Self-image sets the boundaries of individual accomplishment.
There’s nothing more helpful or dangerous to your individual success than high self-image. Many have failed miserably at fostering high self-image, while others have risen like fresh cream straight ‘outta the udder.
A person or company with positive self-image is going to be around for a while.
Here are some things to think about before you post that next social media picture or words. What do comedians, watches and Instagram pictures have in common? They have me thinking about how we connect.
Nearly 1 million people placed an order for an Apple Watch on the first day it was available! We are all trying to connect.
- Share your great product.
You is your brand? What do you stand for?
- Be strategic.
Unlike with past iPhone and iPad launches, Apple did not make the first-generation device available for purchase in its stores.
Once you hit the share button, that is your unique voice and image out in the world. Think about what you want to live out in cyberspace FOREVER.
- You don’t have to fit in.
Instead of trying to be relevant and trendy like someone, expend the time and energy to embrace the uniqueness of you. Share that.
- Become insanely passionate at one thing and use your confidence to branch out.
I’m so inspired by the images I see. With hashtag search capabilities I can find information about anything. Be clear about where you want to be found.
- Slow down. Breathe. Believe. ~ Success takes time.
I read a great article this morning about the comedian, Louis C.K. We assume somehow that he just stepped into success. He said he nearly starved for five years and repeatedly faced rejection and fear. Believe that life is unfolding for you just as it should.
- Act like you know what you’re doing.
Humble is important to connect, but I believe it’s more about authenticity and/or vulnerability that gives us our ability to connect across the globe on our smart technology gadgets. You ARE an expert at something. Share your wisdom and inspire others.
We’re all in this together. Ricky Gervais has a great saying, “The best advice I’ve ever received is, ‘No one else knows what they’re doing either.” Just send it out to the universe that you do. We’ll be waiting.
Do I really need the new Apple Watch? Need?… No… Want? Uncertain. As an early adopter and trend forecaster, I like things and information… but I like connecting with others more than getting new stuff.
I believe my great love is being keenly interested in knowing someone else’s story and perhaps sharing that. I create original stories or combinations of words, visually and in print. I love to connect – virtually or in person.
Amazing to connect with you today. I hope your day is filled with love and light and new connections.
